SAD DROWNING CASE.
£BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Chbistchuech, Saturday. In the case of the drowning of a three-year-old child found in the river yesterday, the mother, Mrs. Loughton, wife of an engineer at the hospital, was committed to the Lunatic Asylum this morning, after having admitted pushing the child into the water. She had previously been in the asylum. At the inquest to-day the jury declined to accept evidence as to the woman's admission, and returned an open verdict.
