ENGLAND'S RECEPTION OF COLONIAL PREMIERS.

Ff.Asm'os and junketings in profusion are being prepared for the colonial Premiers who are the Royal guests for three weeks at the coronation.

Great houses in various parts of the country are to he thrown open to them. Lord Mayors are anxious to feast them, and the British Empire League, which is arranging a heavy programme of travel, sightseeing, receptions, speeches, and toastings, is finding great difficulty in knowing how to fit all the engagements into the time at disposal. The programme is by no means complete, but in outline it includes receptions by the King and a rapid trip to some of the larger manufacturing towns, a reception in civic state at the Mansion House, another at the Imperial Institute, visits to several of "the stately homes of Kngland" in the shires, probably a garden party at Devonshire' House, entertainments by actor-managers and Benchers, and three weeks of legal housing at the Hotel Cecil as Royal guests. Here they an to be waited on by the Kind's servants, with Royal carriages at their beck and call. The Colonial Club is now arranging to bear a part in the Work of doing honour to the Premiers, and it is understood that a ball and a. banquet have been considered as likely features, although the exact form of the gathering has not yet been decided. There is a more serious part in the programme, and this is to include conferences with Mr! Chamberlain on Imperial question* concerning conijaeree, unity, inter-communi-cation, : and defence.
