The employees of the Leyland-O'Brien Timber Company met in the company's boardroom on Saturday morning, when Air. J. J. O'Brien was presented by his co-direc-tor, Mr. W. B. Leyland, on behalf of the employees, with a handsome pair of binoculars for himself and a dressing case for Mrs. O'Brien, both suitably inscribed. Mr. Leyland at the same time conveyed the good wishes of the employees and himself that they both would Have a pleasant trip to the Old Country. Mr. O'Brien, in a feeling manner, replied, referring to the pleasant associations which had always existed between those around him and himself for many years. He thanked them for their tokens of esteem both for Mrs. O'Brien and himself.
