THE SHOOTING CASE AT WAIKARE.
Yesterday Constable Oahill telegraphed from Whakapara to Inspector Cullen to the effect that the nature of the injuries inflicted on the native woman who was reported to have been shot by the Maori, Douglas Raupeka, :at Waikare, Day of Islands, the - other day, were not extremely serious. ; The woman, the wire states, received- two wounds in the head, and it is expected that she will, after a few weeks, be convalescent. •'-.
