SIR JOSEPH WARD.
[IST TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] GniiTMOxrrn, Friday. Sir Joseph Ward and Lady Ward, who arrived to-day, were entertained at a banquet to-night by the local bodies, representatives,; and citizens, in the Opera House, the Mayor presiding. Over 150 sat down, and the gallery was well filled with spectators, ladies being numerous. To-morrow night Sir Joseph Ward delivers a political address, by the special request of citizens.
Westport, Friday. At a representative meeting of citizens to-night, it was decided to entertain Sir Joseph Ward at a public banquet on* the occasion of his visit next week. , ; _
