THE SUBMARINE MINING STEAMERS.
[BY telegraph,— press association.] Wellington, Thursday. Captain Moorhouse, who brought the New Zealand submarine mining steamer Lady. Roberts from Glasgow to Albany, where he had to leave her on account of illness, arrived in Wellington from Sydney, via Auckland, yesterday. It is understood that he will resume command of the Lady Roberts when, she takes up harbour defence work in Auckland, and that Captain Eraser will continue to have the charge of the Janie Seddon, which is to remain in Wellington waters. Both steamers will receive a thorough overhaul before going into commission again. - ____"
