A conference of delegates of local bodies outside the city interested in the taking over of the tramways decided in favoui of a paid tramway board, to be electee on the municipal franchise. The Citj Council has not fallen in with the view: of the other local bodies, as it would rur the whole tramway system itself, but ar attempt will be made to induce it to fal in with the general idea.
