The Auckland City Council invite tenders for the whole or any number of the Debentures to be issued in connection with the undermentioned Loans, viz. : — Fire Brigade Loan of £12,000. i Queen-street Paving Loan of £8000. Water Supply Extension Loan of £25,000. The Debentures will be of the value of £100 each, redeemable in 30 years from the 16th January, 1902, and bearing interest at the rate of £4 per centum per annum, payable half-yearly. The Loans are being raised under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900, and have been duly authorised by the votes of tho Ratepayers. The Loans and the interest thereon are secured upon the revenues of the City of Auckland, subject to the existing Loans secured thereon. An annually recurring Special Rate of Is 3d in the £ for payment of interest upon Loans is levied on all ratable property. No tender will be received for part of a Debenture nor at less than par value. Each tender must be endorsed on the envelope "'Tender for Debentures," ancl have enclosed a- marked cheque or cash for 10 per cent, of the amount- of the tender. The balance of 90 per cent, will be payable on the 16th January, 1902, when the Debentures will be issued.
