MONEY MARKET. , Three months' bills are discounted at Zk I per cent. WHEAT. The wheat markets are firm, but inactive, owing to the holidays. Cargoes are firmly held. South Australian, November shipment, 30s 6d; "Victorian, January and Februl ary shipments, 30s lid. I SUGAR. i Sugar is quiet. German, 63 6d; first I marks, 8s 4£d. BUTTER. Butter is improving in demand. Colonial, firm choicest, 104-s to 106s, brisk trade; secondary, about 965. The Paparoa's butter was excellent. Danish is dull and unchanged. CHEESE. Cheese is hardening. New. Zealand, 4£?s to 50s. METALS. Copper: Spot, 49g; three months, 49|.
