THE EIGHTH CONTINGENT.

The 20 men to fill the vacancies in the Eighth Contingent were selected yesterday | by the Examining Board, and left for Wel- | lington by the s.s. Ngapuhi, from Onehunga, j at six o'clock last evening. This completes | Auckland's quota of 200 men for the contingent. Amongst them was Mr. Hugh Gres- ■ ham,, eldest sou of the coroner.
