As inquest was held at Hawera to-day on the bodies of the Bleunerhaasetls, father and sou, who were shot oh the previous day by William ill. The evidence wenti to show that there had been bad feeling between the parties for "years in , connection with rating matters. The elder. Blennerhassett was shot-twice, in the- neck and bead, the first time, probably from a distance of about ten yards, and the second at three yards. The younger man had a wound in the right breast, apparently inflicted at a distance of one or two yards. There was a wound on Hill's forehead, which had been inflicted before death, but the medical man did not think it coma have caused mental derangement. This wound arose from a blow with a railing, which the younger Blennerhassett hit Hill with during the squabble on the previous clay. The widows of the two;men also gave' evidence as to hearing sounds of gunshots, and finding the dead bodies of their husbands.
