KING'S NEW TITLE.
"AND OF THE BRITISH DOMINIONS
BEYOND THE SEAS." . A supplement to the last Loudon Gazette contains a proclamation by the King, announcing the new title which His Majesty now takes in accordance with the Royal Style and Titles Bill of last session. Up to the present the King's title has been "Edwardus VII., Dei Gratia Britannarium Rex, Fidei Defensor, Indioe Imperatorj" and in English, " Edward VII., by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India." The new title is, "Edwardus VII., Dei Gratia Britanniarum. et terrarum .transmarinarum qua; in ditone sunt Britannica Rex, Fidei Defensor, Indira Iniperator;" or, in English, "Edward VII., by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and of the British Dominions beyond the Seas, King, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India." ~i
