BOWLING.
The Auckland Bowling Association pennant contests will be continued to-day, when the matches in the fifth and sixth rounds of tho pennant contests, which were postponed on account of the weather last Saturday, will be played. The Association Match Committee has deemed it wise, owing to the soaking the greens have received during the week, not to play on the Ponsonby Green, but to use the Mount Eden green, which, because of its porous nature, is likely to bo keener, instead. The arrangements are as follows
Fifth Round (at half-past one p.m.): Mount Eden v. Devonport, on Remuera Green; "Newmarket v. Remuera, on Mount Eden Green ; Mount Albert v. Auckland, on Mofflit Eden Green. Sixth Round (at four p.m.): Ponsonby v. Mount Eden, on Remuera Green; Remuera v. Auckland, on Mount Eden Green;. Mount Albert v. Newmarket, on Mount Eden Green.
The Auckland and Newmarket Clubs have extended invitations to members of tho Mount Eden Club to play on their greens, so that the club shall not bo deprived of play on account of the Mount Eden- Green being used for the pennant contests.
