Having received an offer of books in " Braille" type the Stepney Borough Council has accepted some and decided to open a library for the East End blind at St. George's. This is the first municipal library for blind persons in Lonuon. Dr. Millson, medical officer of health for the Borough of South replying to a friend, who suggested that; the smallpox epidemic had male him very busy, observed: "Yes, we are up to our eyes in work x vaccinating conscientious objectors."
