There was a good attendance at Mr. Thome's land sale to-day, when the following properties found purchasers: —House of 10 rooms in Brighton Road, Parnell, with frontage of 100 ft, brought £525; a cottage of six rooms in Crammer Road was sold for £450; and a farm at Parua Bay brought £350. WOOL SALE. Wellington, Friday. The first local wool sale of the seasor was held to-day. Prices all round showed a fall a3 compared with the first side last season of 2d to 2id per lb. AUCKLAND PRODUCE MARKETS. The local produce markets have been fully supplied with most lines during the past week. Heavy shipments of fruits came forward from Sydney and Fiji. New potatoes came to hand more freely, and prices declined, and it it had not been for orders lor export they would have dropped still further. Butter was none too plentiful, and tally maintained last week's rate*. Eggs were in keen demand, and sold at higher rates. Poultry, although fairly plentiful, Gold well, on account, of heavy orders from the Islands for the Christmas trade. The following were the ruling prices at the auction sales yesterday : — Field Produce.— Kidney, 7s to 9s 6d cwt : round, 4s 6d to 6s. Garden Produce.—Onions: Local, Id lb ; Sydney, £8 to £9 5s ton ; cabbages, 9d to Is 3d dozen; green peas, lOd to Is 2d peck. Fruit.—Bananas, 2d lb, 2s to 3s bunch i gooseberries, 4s to 5s box ,- currants, 6d to 8d lb. Oranges: Local, 3s to 4s case; Island, 63 to 8s ; marmalade, 3a ; Poor Man's, 3s.
