The Greytown lady who some time ago dreamt that Tortulla would win the New Zealand Cup has been presented by 'Mr. Douglas Gordon with a larse photo of Tortulla, the winner of the big event of the rear, as a memento of the win. It appears that olive oil is now recommended as a safe medicinal food. It is held to improve the action of the skin and prevent eczema, which can l>e cured by avoiding starchy food and following a diet of dried fruit, eggs, milk, and olive oil. 'Die oil also tends to prevent baUlnoss, which often arises from weakness of the oil-glands at the roots of the hair.
