.— ~s> DEMONSTRATION IN LONDON. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. London, October 30. The Carmagnole wag sang and dances held in honour of Czolgosz at the Anarchists' Club in London. The police dispersed a noisy gathering in Clerkenwell. The Carmagnole was a popular song and dance in the first French revolution, and was so-called from Carmagnola, in Piedmont, the groat nest of the Savoyards, noted I for their street music and dancing. The I refrain • of "Madame Veto," the Carmagnole song, is " Dansons la Carmagnole— vive le son— canon !" The word was subsequently applied to other revolutionary songs.
