Albert Sthivokr, a married man, sustained a broken leg to-day on the Waietea dredge, through one of the wire ropes breaking and coming back on him. Gisborne, Thursday. The Harbour Board to-day agreed to the offer of the Marine Department that the Penguin would be sent to survey the bay if the Board would provide accommodation for two officers and thirteen men. Captain Cummings was appointed master of the new dredge, and Mr. W. Mitchell was appointed engineer. Wang ax i;r, Thursday. A nine-roomed house at Aramoho was totally destroyed by fire to-night, The insurances are not available. I I
