[BY TELEGRAPH. association.] Dunedin, Tuesday. The Permanent Artillery at Otago Heads, in a service practice with the R.N. 64pounder, at a target 80ft long and 12ft freeboard, towed at full speed by the launch Gordon, put up the record for the colony. There were 13 direct hits with the first 15 rounds, and 12 with 14 rounds by the second detachment. The total figure of merit was 1.35.
