BOWLING.
OPENING OF THE SEASON. The Mount Eden Bowling Club opens tho bowling season this afternoon at its green. The club is enabled to open earlier in the season than the other clubs, owing to the green being volcanic soil. The ceremony is only to be of a formal character, and At Home" day will be held in about a month's time. A general meeting of members of the club will be held at half-past two p.m. in the pavilion, to consider the advisability of registering the society under the Unclassified Societies' Registration Act, 1895.
