All members and those interested in the Samaritan 'Needlework Guild are requested to send their gift? ot garments to the Y.W.C.A. Rooms, Albert-street, as soon-as possible, as the case is almost ready for shipping to London. This is a good work, and has been much appreciated by the waafs and strays of London. At the same time, the waifs and strays of Auckland and many others have been helped through the above guild. Gifts of material will still be most acceptable, as there are several things waiting, completion. The special attention of those interested in education is drawn to the announcement in our columns in reference to the classical, modern languages, and mathematical side of Mr. T. Harle Giles' Training College, Lower Symonds-street. In view of the growing importance of the German language, the constant usefulness of French, and the value of Italian in musical instruction, parents and students will do well to take advantage of the. opportunities afforded.
