STRUGGLE WITH A LUNATIC.
AN EXCITING INCIDENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Ellington, Thursday. A constable, who was conveying a lunatic from Hastings to Wellington, Lad a startling experience. When the train reached the tunnel near Eketahuna, the lunatic violently assaulted the constable, burst his handcuffs, and leaped off the train. The lunatic was subsequently recaptured by the police from Maaterton. The constable in charge was considerably knocked about, but is not thought to bo seriously injured.
