THE AUCTIONS BILL.
[by telegraph.— association.] ' Wellington, Thursday. A deputation of auctioneers waited on the Minister for Lands to-day to protest against the Land and Live Stock Auctions Bill. The Minister requested' that they should put their arguments in writing, but agreed to endeavour to delay the Bill for three weeks in order to give auctioneers time to _ communicate with persons following similar business in other parts of the colony. The Bill chiefly aims at suppressing "trotting" at sales. ■ _ -
