Taylor, the purser, reports :The Tavinni left Auckland at 715 p.m. on July 2. and arrived at Rarotonga at 9.30 p.m. on the Bth. Left Barotonga at 6 a.m. on the 9th. and arrived at Papeete at ,3 p.m. on the 11th. Left again at 5 p.m. on the 13th. and arrived at lluahine at 7.20 a.m." on the 14th. Left for Raiatea. at 11.40 a.m. the same date, and arrived there three - hours later. ' Left again, the same -■-..date at 4.45 p.m., and arrived at Aitutaki at

THE MANAPOURI. ' The Union Company's steamer Manapouri, J Captain George Crawabaw, arrived from Syd- 1 ney and the Islands yesterday morning, and i after being inspected by Dr. Sharman, the , port health officer, berthed at the Queen- j street Wharf to discharge her consignments of fruit, afterwards preceding up to Chelssa, ' where her cargo of raw sugar was landed, 1 the steamer coming down in the evening *>nd > berthing at Quay-street Jetty, No. 2. Mr. ] H. V. Austen, the purser,, reports :The s.s. ' Manapouri left the Margaret-street Wharf, , Sydney, at 4 p.m. on the 3rd inst., ami arrived in Suva Harbour at 9 a.m. on the 10th. ] Left Suva at noon the next day, and reached Levuka the same afternoon. Left Levuka ' for Ba River at daylight on the 12th, and ] after taking in a shipment of raw sugar re- [ turned to Levuka, finally clearing the Fiji \ Group at that port at 2 p.m. on the 13th inst. Anchored in Apia Harbour at 11 p.m. on the 15th, and resumed the voyage the next day ' at 6 p.m. Called at Niuatobutabn on the < 17th. and leaving in the evening arrived in i Vavan Sound at 11 a.m. on the 18th. Worked ( Haa'pai on the 19th, and Nukualofa on the j 20th, and leaving the latter port at 5 p.m. arrived in the harbour and anchored awaiting pratique at 6.30 a.m. yesterday. Experi- ■ enced fresh head winds and heavy sea during ' the first two days out from Sydney, when the J weather moderated, and with varying winds ( continued fine till arrival at Suva. Cool and , pleasant weather prevailed during the cruise ; among the islands, after leaving which for ■ Auckland, had moderate head winds and sea till the 23rd, on which day the steamer encountered a fresh nor'-westerly gale, which, 1 veering more westerly, and accompanied i with frequent heavy rain squalls and high , confused sea, continued in moderating force ( till approaching shelter of the New Zealand , coast. ____. ■■• ; _ _—- ■ ' THE MOURA. !
