The 'following appointments as district health officers under the Public Health Act of last session Lave been made: —Dr. Matgill, Auckland; Dr. Morice, jun., Westland: Dr. Roberts, Nelson and Marl-: borough ; Dr. Symes, Canterbury. Dr. Makgill's ' appointment is permanent the others are temporary. The Otago mail is f not yet appointed.
