MESSES. ALFRED BUCKLAND AND SONS' REI'ORT. Dorses: At the Haymarket on Friday last we again had a good muster of all classes but heavy draughts, and those were not represented. Medium draughts and ac-Uv; waggon horses sold ireely at prices varying from £14 to £25, and an extra good animal £32; hacks and light harness hordes, £7 to £10: ponies anil weeds, £2 to £5; several gigs and light traps sold under the hammer at fair values. The racehorse Motor was sold at 90 guineas, l*andaras 35 guineas, Rita 53 guineas, Mechanic bo guineas, Rosipheie 30 guineas. Lay and Straw: An average quantity put though at late quotations; straw still at high prices. hides. Skins, Tallow, etc.: The usual number catalogued, and prices similar to last week, both for ox and cow; horse hides, 4s to 5s 6d for large, and 2s to 3s bd small; cow hair, 103 d lb; horns, 7s 6d 100; bones, 5s cwt; fat, lid lb; tallow, 18s to 19s 6d cwt; skins, if anything a little easier in value than last week, Is 9il to 2s 3d for best, and lower prices for light and damaged. At the clearance sale of the late .Miss Maxwell's stock and effects at Well Park, Richmond Avenue, on Saturday last, there was a very numerous attendance, and everything sold at good prices. For the cows there was keen competition, as they were known good animals; yearling Jersey heifer, £3; other two, £5 lbs and £6 17s bd e.u.-il; aged cows, £5 to £6. and £7 for younger. Grain, etc.: At auction carrots realised 22s 6d; inferior and damaged chaff, 23s to 40s: damaged oats, Is yd. Ex store, we quote: Feed oats, 2s 3d to 2s bd; maize, 2s 7d to 2s 3d; carrots, ex rail, 20s; maize, ex wharf, 2s 4d. At the private sale of Mr. .las. Gallagher's, of the Mauku, there was a large attendance of buyers, bidding was brisk, and good values were obtained. The cows were all young, and with few exceptions brought over £5 10s, and up to £8 7s 6d each. On Saturday we held a clearing sale at Mr. J. W. Reward's, of Pokeno, which was well attended. The dairy cows brought from £4 10s to £7 ss: 18-months heifers, £3 to £4; bay colt, £26 10s; bay mare, £16 ; bay marc, £17 10s; single furrow plough, £4 ss; spring cart, £7 lbs ; dray, £6 ; disc harrows, £5 ; fowls, Is 3d each. At Pukekohe on Monday, there was a largo muster of dairy cows, for which there was keen competition, and with the exception of three all wefe sold, prices ranging from £5 to £8 7s 6d each. There was but &. moderate muster of other stock, which was all disposed of at slightly better values. Fat steers were from £6 7s 6d to £8 5s ; cows, £4 10s to £6 2s 6d; strong calves, £1 to £1 18s; dry cows, £2 10s to £4 10s.

At Kelensville on Wednesday there was a moderate supply of sheep and cattle, which sold freely at current values. The Remuera Yards on Thursday were well filled with a good class of stock, which met with a ready sale. Dairy cows brought from £5 to £3 15.-; 3-year steers were from £5 5s to £6 10s; yearlings lip to £2 lbs; dry cows and heifers, £2 15s to £4; fat and young calves in usual numbers, were better worth, fresh dropped 5s to 9s, medium 12s to 18s, wellfatted up to £2 ss; no heavy weights yarded '63 sold). Fat cattle penned in average numbers, and all of first-class quality advanced in value. Steers and heifers brought from 20s to 24s the 10011). aged cows 17s to 19s; steers ranged in price from £7 to £10 17s 6d; cows, £4 10s to £8 17s 6d (210 sold). There was a larger muster of sheep than of late, and were slightly lower in some cases; wellfatted wethers brought from 16s to 18s; lighter sorts, 13s 6d to 15s 6(1; ewes, 10s to 15s 6d; hoggets, 8s to 143 9d (1500 sold). Pigs sold well, porkers bringing from £1 to 30s each; larger sorts, up to £1 16s (40 sold). The advertised ewes in lamb brought 10s 6d each.

MESSRS. G. W. BINNBY AND RONS' REPORT. On Tuesday we offered an extra large catalogue of bides, sheepskins, tallow, etc. Hides: Prime ox, 6id to 63d; extra stout, 5 1 .d to sad; stout. Ed to sJ_d: medium, 4£d to 4 4 T d ; light, Zid to 4d ; cow, o3d to 3Jd ; seconds, 3d to 3Jd; calf, well flayed 4'd, cut 2d to 21d; stags, 2d to 23d. Sheepskins: Owing to the further fall in wool prices were lower Gd each. Local green and salted average 2s; country, Is 6d to 2s; small, 9d to Is each. Tallow: Best mutton, £1 2s 6d to £1 3s; mixed, 18s 6d to 19s; seconds, Ms to 15s per cwt; fat, Ud per lb. Cow tails, Is 8d to Is lOd par dozen. Horse-tail hair, Is Id to Is 2d; mane, 8d to 9d. Bones: Rest dry, £5; wet, £3 10s to £4 per ton. STRATFORD AM) lIAWERA. The Egmont Farmers' Union (Limited) report ilawera., June 20:—At Stratford, on tho 14th inst., a good yarding of stock came forward. Bidding was siow, with the exception of young stock. Fat cows, £3 16s to £4 Is 6(1; empty cows, £2 18s to £3 3s 6d; 18-month steers, £3 to £3 8s; heifers, in calf, £3 10s to £4 2s 6d; 12 to 15-month heifers, £2 5s to £2 12s 6d; yearlings, mixed, £2 to £2 5s 6d; springing heifers, choice, £5 5s to £8 ss. At the Glover Road Yards, on the 2uth inst.. owing to the inclement weather, but few of the advertised stock came forward, those yarded being principally steers. fat and forward cows. £5 10s to £3 lbs; store cows, £2 16s to £3 3s; two-year steers, £3 ,15s to £3 17s; 2i-year steers, £4 5s to £4 lis. Lowes and lorns report regarding their Masterton stock sale on June 20: — Owing to the holidays, and the fact of.our sale having to be postponed, the yarding of Mock was small; only a few buyers were present, and but little business resulted. Aged ewes made 4a; wethers, 10s; lambs. 8s; fat lows. £4 58; weaners, £1 10s, £1 lis 6d, £2 ss; weaner pigs. bs. During the present week we have quitted by private treaty over 3000 wethers and 150 head of cattle at current prices.
