VOUCHED BY DAY AND COUGHED AT NIGHT.
SO APPETITE. COULD NOT SLEEP, TOOK LITTLE NOUKIbJIMEXT. AND WAS VERY THIN. It is a pleasure to publish letters showing how children regain (heir health. Parents who write of their experiences reveal the practical side of cur subject much better than we could possibly do our»olvc.". A letter received from a gentleman in Bristol is about his little boy. Tour years old, and reads as follows : — •" Apsley House, Brecknock Road, Knowle, "Bristol, England, .Line 27, 1900. •' Centlemen, — In February last my little boy, about four years old, was taken with a very serious attack of measles, followed by congestion of the lungs, which caused linn to cough clay ami night, having very little or no .sleep for about three weeks. It:-, appetite became so bad that lie could not take more than half a pint of milk in ?4 hour.-, and lie seemed reduced to a me 0 skeleton. Seeing your advertisement in a newspaper, and reading of the wonderful results produced by .Scott's Emulsion, _ I determined to try it. After ten doses tho cough stopped, his eyes became brighter, his complexion clear, and appetite returned. In fact, I was astonished at the change in so short a time, and determined to continue the treatment. I have had in all four bottles, which has completely cured him. Ho is now able, to run about and play with other boys, and never seems tired. It gives mo pleasure to testify to the unquestioned merit of Scott's Emulsion. •' (Signed) H. .T. Lf.wtox." Children that have no appetite and tire weak and thin need more than ordinary tonics. It is tho same exactly with those who have chronic coughs and seem always ailing;. Specifics and drugs may give a tictitious appetite and temporary relief, but they certainly do not bring strength and vitality to the system, as cod-liver oil does. The best thing about Scott's Emulsion from a popular point of view is that it completely disguises the taste of cod-liver oil. and makes this nutritious substance easy of digestion. From a scientific standpoint v:e can emphasise the hypophosphites and glycerine, which are blended with the oil Jn Scott's Emulsion At any rate, the fact is that Scott's Emulsion not only acts as a specific in throat- and lung affections, but it enriches the blood, stimulates the appetite, and induces a healthy and ample nutrition in every part of the system. Xo other remedy or preparation has yet been originated to act so quickly and so perfectly in giving vitality to the body. Babies "suffering with teething, _ and all children that do not thrive, will derive benefits from Scott's Emulsion that the mother will scarcely believe possible until she tries this preparation.
