PERSONAL ITEMS.
Mr. R. Thompson*, M.H.R. for Marsden, arrived from Whangarei last night by the B.s. Wellington. Miss J. McKellar. 8.A., of Dunedin, has been appointed assistant mistress of the iWangamii Girls* College. Capitain J. M. Hart, who has been on a short visit to Auckland, returned to Wellington yesterday by the Elingamite. Mr. John Chinnery, of Sydney, who came aeross to witness the Royal celebrations at Rotorua. left for the South by the Elingamite yesterday. Dr. Pomare, the medical officer appointed by the Government to inspect the native settlements in the colony, was a passenger to Gisborne yesterday by the Elingamite. Dr. Bull, surgeon of the Coromandel Hospital, purposes Tewing Auckland on July 3 on a 12 months'tour of England and the Continent. He will be accompanied by Sirs. Bull.
