The Standard's correspondent says that 150 Beers, under Commandant Midler, with "00 reserves, surrounded the Victorians and poured in a heavy fire. They then rushed the camp and all was over in a few minutes. Midler also led the rush at Helvetia when Viljoen made the attack.
