OLD AGE PENSIONS IN FRANCE.
COST OF THE SCHEME.

Paris, June 19. In the Chamber of Deputies M. Caillaux, Minister of Finance, explained the details of the Old Age Pension scheme. He said it would require a capital fund of twelve million francs (about £430,000). The State would contribute at the outset fifteen million francs (about £600,000), gradually rising in sixteen years to ninety million (£3,600,000). and then gradually falling to fortyfive million (nearly £2,000,000).
