Ix the House of Commons Lord Crnnbovne stated that the Allies had agreed upon the necessity of maintaining 6000 troops in North China. Hovgkoxo, June 14. The permanent, garrison remaining in Tientsin consists nf the Hongkong Regiment and the 31st Madras Infantry, with pom-poms. At Shanhaikwan the garrison consists of the 4th Gurkha. Infantry.
