Benzoin, on the same track, traversed seven furlongs in . lm. 31s. pleasing the watchers. , Malatua and Military (together) went for a seven furlong spin on the ■ plough, the former leading, in lm. 31£s. Calibre beat Cavalry badly over five furlongs on the grass in lm. 4s. Cora Linn, alone, ran half-a-mile on the grass down the back of the course in 51s. Strathnairn and Magnificent covered a mile on the grass in lm. 465., finishing strongly. Melwood, looking well, ran. five furlongs on the plough in lm. 55., Waterford doing similar work in lm. 1 6s.
