The annual meeting of the Auckland Coal Dealers' Association will take place on Wednesday evening, the 27th inst., at the Kanfurly Rooms. The Parnell school picnic to Motutapu will toko place to-day, the steamer Eagle leaving the Queen-street "Wharf at nine a.m. with the children and parents* School sports have been arranged. The Britannia will follow at -past one o'clock. Tho Parnell Orphan Home invito tenders elsewhere for certain supplies. The Coromandel branch of the National Bank will be closed from Saturday, tho 30th inst., on which date the business will be transferred to tho Auckland branch. >

The Coromandol County Council invite applications for tho post of engineer to propare plans and specifications to carry out the proposed Ooromandel water supply works. Mr. H. T. Garratt is a candidate for the Grafton, (late Karangahape Ward). The first meeting of his supporters will be held. today at the Newton Baths, Pitt-street.
