LEAGUE OF WHEELMEN.
PROPOSED VISIT OF AMERICAN ; ~ * cyclists, y ;.;.',;.,;;; [by TELEGRAPH.PRESS association.] CHaisTCHtrHCir, Tuesday. ' At last night's meeting of the Council of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen, Martin, the American cyclist, wrote stating that he could not leave Melbourne before April 23. He would be prepared to stay four weeks if sufficient inducements were forthcoming, and arrangements were made with other centres for him to race. Lawson and Chapman, also American riders, now in Australia, asked expenses for themselves and trainer. It was decided to place the offers before the local clubs.
