SUICIDE ON A RAILWAY.

[by telegraph.— ASSOCIATION'.] Dunedin, Friday. Joseph James was run over by a train and killed, having apparently committed suicide. He was a casual hand employed in the sheds. He had been promised employment as temporary relieving crossingkeeper at the very place where he committed suicide. The act. was no doubt- due to incurable ill-health. He was a widower, with two grown-up sons.
