THE ROYAL VISIT.
NAVAL PREPARATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— Copyright. London, February 12. It is reported at Portsmouth that the King and Queen intend to witness the departure of the Duke and Duchess of York. The Channel Squadron will es6ort the Ophir from England to Gibraltar. The Mediterranean Squadron accompanies the Duke through the Mediterranean to Malta and Port Said. Torpedo destroyers will guard the Ophir through,the Suez Canal. The cruisers St. George and Juno, which leave England on March 11, will also escort the Royal yacht from Suez to Perim, where the East Indian Squadron takes over that duty and continues to New Guinea, where the Australian Squadron takes charge and convoys the Duke to Sydney.
