The Union Company's steamer Mararoa left Sydnev for Auckland last evening, and is due on Sunday afternoon next. She leaves for East Coast and Southern ports on Tuesday afternoon. THE MARGARITA. Mr. J. J. Craig has received a cable message stating that the barque Margarita arrived at Sydney from Mangonui on Tuesday last, after a good passage of 12 days. THE TALUNE. The Union Company's steamer Talune will not leave Auckland for Sydney until 11.30 p.m. on Monday next. THE SILVERSTREAM. The* well-known barque Silverstream. now on the voyage from London to Brisbane with general cargo, is to come on to Wellington on discharge, and load wool, etc., for London. i THE TOMOANA. . The Tvser liner steamer Tomoana is due to-day from London. Melbourne7»and Sydney •with a large general cargo. THE MATATUA. The Shaw. Savill. and Albion Company 8 Steamer Matatna. from London and Hobart, is due to-day. The steamer has a large cargo of general merchandise for this port, and having a quantity of explosives on board will anchor at the powder ground on arrival. STEAMER OX THE COAST. Our Russell correspondent telegraphed yesterday that a large steamer, bound south, passed Cape Brett at 2 p.m. This will be either the Tomoana or Matatua, and she should m"ake port early this morning. THE TE ANAU. The Union Company's steamer Te Anau left Gisborne for Anckkind at 10 a.m. yesterday, and should arrive about the same hour to-day. She leaves for East Coas4 and Southern ports at noon on Saturday. THE RUNIC. The twin-screw steamer Runic was launched on October Bat Belfast. This steamer is 563 ft in length. 64ft in breadth, and her gross tonnage is 12.400. constituting her one of the largest passenger steamers afloat, and she is the 43rd vessel launched by Messrs. Bar]and and Wolff fo. this company. During the last four years no fewei than seven steamships, aggregating 86.501 tons, have been launched by Messrs. Harland and Wolff for the White Star Line. The vessels are all propelled by double sets of engines and twinscrews, now so generally recognised as an element of safety at sea, especially on long voyages.
