ATHLETIC NOTES.

CRICKET. HAMILTON. The Hamilton Cricket Association matches were continued on Saturday, when the Arawa and Slade's Clubs met on Sydney Square. The game resulted in an easy win for the Arawas on the first innings by 29 runs. In their first innings the Arawas made -46 runs. Johnson's bowling for Slade's was very destructive—in the last ovei he did the "hat trick." Slade's eleven ouly succeeded in compiling 17 in their first innings. Blamires took- five wickets for 6 runs, and Gleeson four for 10. The losers followed on, and put up the comparatively respectable score of 76, of which W. Johnson made 32, and Browning 11. WAIUKU V. PUKEKOHE. The second round between the Pukekohe and Waiuku cricket clubs was played at Waiuku on November 24'. resulting in a very decided win for the former team. The scores were:—Waiuku, first innings, 20 runs; second, 26. Pukekohe, first innings, 65. Eyre 26, J. Roulston 18, were top scorers for the visitors, and R. A. Bent 11, and E. McDonald not out 7, for the home team. Roulston, Eyre, and Lodge did great execution with the ball for Pukekohe, and Hockin, Moore and Webster were most successful in the bowling for Waiuku.—[Own Correspondent.]
