INQUEST AT CHRISTCHURCH.

[BY TELEGRAPH. association.] CHiufsTCHURCH, Friday. An inquest was held to-day touching the death of May Violet Brown, who died in the hospital on Wednesday evening. A statement had been made to the police that a man named Charles Bowden had assaulted the deceased prior to her death. After taking evidence the jury returned a verdict that deceased died through perforation of the bowels, and Bowden was discharged from custody.
