ATHLETIC NOTES.

CRICKET.

Owing to the Domain being occupied tomorrow afternoon by the Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycle Club, the championship contests will not be resumed until the Saturday following. A match has been arranged to take place on the Dovonport Domain between tho North Shore and Gordon Cricket Clubs. The teams aro as follows; North Shore: Barron, Burgess, Smith (2), Wyuyard, MacNeill, Harrison, Mills. Denby, Swanson, and Webster. Gordon: Lusk, Aneenne, Kallondor, J. Seocombo, Mcßao, Cullernc, Kyd, Gillies, Fairburn, Fish, Kiesling, and Taylor. Players catch half- one boat. North Shore 111. play Grey Lynn, with the following team : —McFarlane, Pitts, Walker, Millor, Herd, Froude, Cash, Snell, Manning, Wynyard, and Ingle. Emergency: Reid.

THE A.A.A. AND O.C. SPRING CARNIVAL.

Lovers of sport are reminded that the spring carnival of tho Auckland Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club takes place on the Domain Cricket Ground to-morrow (Saturday), November 24. Good work has been done on tho track by both Roseingrave, the Irish and Australian champion, and Smith, the Australasian and New Zealand champion, and the contests between them in both the 120 yds Invitation Scratch and 120 yds Handicap Hurdle Race should be a sight worth witnessing. A number of tricks new to the Auckland public will be provided by Mr. W. Henning, in his exhibition of fancy cycling, and altogether a very varied and interesting programme is being submitted to tho club[s patrons. The catering for afternoon tea is in the hands of Messrs. Stilwell and Gilman, and Impoy's Band will provide the musical programme. It is to bo hoped that the exertions of the club will bo rewarded with a fine day and a record attendance.
