THE STOLEN BULLION.
[by telegraph.— correspondent.] Paeroa, Friday. The slimes taken from the Waihi Gold Mining Company's reduction works, at Waikino, which were recovered early in the week, were brought into Paeroa in the custody of Sergeant Brennan and Detective Herbert. The find was made on the river bank, behind Bright's coaching-house, at Waikino, by Sergeant Brennan, who, it appears, was examining the bank and saw what appeared to be the " lug," or end of a sack, just peeping through the sand on a surface level with the river. On examination he found that two sacks containing the stolen treasure were lying side by side.
