RAIL WORKMAN KILLED.
[by telegraph.—press association.] Gbeymouth, Sunday. ■Peter -lartin, a railway workman, was killed yesterday on the line. He was riding on a trolley when the down ballast train came round a sharp curve. Martin jumped off and tried to pull the trolley off, and had almost succeeded when the engine struck the trolley, which tilted up, catching him on the side of the head, smashing it in. He was killed instantly. There was also a large wound across the chest. He leaves a wife and eight children. An inquest will be held to-morrow. The man life was insured for £100 in the Government office.
