|"ntOM OUR OWN OORRKBPONDKNT,]' CAMBEIDOE. - I THE opening meet of the Waikato Hunt , Club on Saturday was a great success. The huntsmen were entertained at a luncheon at Gwynnolands by Mr. Norman Banks prior to ' the run. About 30 Indies and gentlemen, driving and riding, followed the hounds. KIHIKIHI. THE ball held here on Thursday night, under the auspices of tho Kihikihi Lawn Tennis Club, was a decided success. Miss Mainwarme, who acted as secretary, and the committee were awarded many expressions of praißO for their successful efforts. The supply of milk to the creamery for the month of April was 12,840 gallons, from 30 suppliers. The supply has very much fallen off of late, and tho creamery is only worked every other day. Mr. W. J. Hunter's sale took place on Saturday, and was well attended. There was a fair muster of stock, which sold at ruling prices. Several good draught horses were l™ m ™i ed i,,n tWO ot . Mr ; " Italy's fetched £30 and £40 respectively. Hacks were not in demand, and only a few sold. Several had come overland from Taranaki. ■ " :
