A RAILWAY APPOINTMENT.
[by telegraph.—press association.] . Wellington, Monday. Tiie Agent-General has selected Mr. Wynne, of the Highland Railway Company, to replace Mr. Johnston (resigned) as signalling and interlocking engineer on the New Zealand railways. Mr. Wynne will visit America on the way out, and inspect the apparatus in use there, and will not arrive till March.
