McLean and Son. contractors for the new Glasgow Wjarf, have purchased the barquentine Konysbyrd, and are to employ her in the timber trade for their own purposes. The vessel is now on her wav from the Clarence River, New Sontli Wales, to Dunedin, and on her discharge at the Southern port she will he handed over to her new owners. In the early part of the passage from Liverpool to Sydney the ship Eurasia, which arrived in Sydnej a fen days ago, had a narrow oscape from crashing into a barque. The Eurasia had been a few days at sea when the unknown vessel came down on her, and il was only by the merest chance that a serious collision was averted. As it was. the vessels " had a brush." but only slight damage resulted, and both soon after continued ih-nr respective courses.
