THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL
[by telegbafii.— cobrespoxdext.] Thames, Wednesday. At the monthly meeting of the Thames County Council to-night it was resolved to awede to the request of the- secretary of the Tairua Broken Hills Gold Mining Company, that the road between the upper landing and the company's mine should be made fit for wheel traffic, in order that machinery could be carted to the battery now-in course of erection. The Council also resolved to take no further action in regard to the administration of the Kauri Gum Industry Act until it If amended. The chairman was authorised to rail a meeting of the Council to act with the borough, for the purpose of discussing the federation question.
