DU.N'EDIN GRAIN MARKET. Dun'kdin, Wednesday. Wheat: No change to report, and last week's quotations can only be repeated, namely:— Prime Tuscan, 2s 5d to 2s 6Jd; red sorts, 2s 3d to 2s 4d; fowl feed, up to 2s for best whole. Oats: Though there is no advance in price, the market to-day is porhaps slightly better, owing to small quantity at present offering. The reason, seemingly. Is that holders do not care to accept less than was current when grain was put in store. Prime milling, up to Is sd; best feed, la 3d to Is 4d; medium, 18 1(1 to Is 21d.

ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. Chiustohuroit, Wednesday. Entries at Addington to-day were fairly large in all departments of stock, more especially in fats, and a. good demand existed for fat sheep and pigs. Entries comprised 6820 fat, 3000 store sheep, 437 head of cattle, and 366 pig?. The 247 fat cattle wer*. mostly light sorts, '31 from the North Island being below the quality usually coining from there, and selling at from £6 7s 6d to '£8 2s 6d. For bullocks, bidding was dull, and last week's rates were barely maintained. Local cattle: Good steers brought .£7 to £8 6s; lighter sorts. £4 17s 6d to £6 10s; heifers, £3 153 to £6 15s; cows, £3 15s to £6 2s 6d. The stores and dairies were a very poor lot, and no quotable business was done. The hulk of the fat sheep wore good wethers, and a large yarding of butchers' ewes of good quality, with an unusual proportion of secondary merino wethers. This class remains very firm, and considering tin. quality prices in many cases advanced. Batchers' ewes were much firmer, but there were too many merinos for trade purposes, and rone being taken for export caused a slight weakening. Prime heavyweight wethers brought 19s to 21s 6d; freezing quality and prime mixed sexes, 16s to 13s 6d: unfinished sorts, 15s to 15s 9d; Dri-i) eves.- 16s to 18s fid: good ewes, 14s to 15s Cd; best merino wethers, 14J to 15s lOd; others, down to 10s. A good many of the store sneep were North Islanders, and all sorts met a good demand, but several lines of wethers were withdrawn, the owners asking too high prices for them. Wethers brought 13s 5d to 15s 8d; others being withdrawn at from 13s 3d to 15s 4d. Mixed twotooths sold at 13s lOd to 14s sd; breeding ewes, 14s Id to 14s 7d; hoggets, 12s 5d to 13s 4d for good sorts, and 9s 7d to lis 7d for backward; merino wethers, 10s 6d. With the exception of baconers, which were slightly easiei, all the pigs met a" good demand. Baconers, 35s to 455, and 3d to 3id pel lb; porkers, 30s to 375, and 4Jd to 4Jd; large stores, 24s to 30a; smaller, 18s to 235; weaners, 138 to 17s; and suckers, 10a to lis.
