AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. Yestebday New Zealand Insurances were placed at 60s, and New Zealand and River Plates at 20s 6d and 20s 9d. Auckland Gas were wanted at £13 4s for old issue, and £10 for new, but sellers declined to quit at the prices quoted. Devonport Steam Ferrys were placed at 38s. In mining, Alphas were placed at Is 9d. Waitekauris were wanted at 44s (ex div.), sellers 50s; while New Zealand Talismans were wanted at 13s Id, Komata Reefs 2s 6d, Grace Darlings, paid up (which eased) at Is lOd, and low-priced' Ohinemuri lines at late rates. In Thames lines, May Queens were a shads weaker, 6s being buyers' best quotation at the close. Victorias were also easier, buyers offering 6d. In Coromandel lines, New Four-in-Hands were wanted at 2a 6d, Bunker's Hills (old issue) at Is lid, and new issue at lOd. Royal Oaks were a shade firmer, buyers offering lid. In Barrier lines Gold and Silvers were wanted at Is, sellers Is 7d and Is 6d at the close. No change in other lines.
