SOUTH WARD ROLL.

I At last night's meeting of the City Council a letter was read from Mr. John Kenderdine, pointing out that in the roll for the bouth Ward, just published, the name, of the trustees of the late T. B. Kenderdine were Omitted, although on last year's roll. As theie were properties in Grey, Vincent, Wellington, and Hobson Streets, on which the city rate collectoi did not forget to charge rates, the writer would like to know by whose authority the names ot the trustees had been remove! In this connection the acting-town clerk (Mr. Gome) reported that on the past year's valu- ! ation .-oil the properties in question appeared I [is in the name of Mr. John Edson, as execuI tor in the estate of the late Di. T. B. Ken- ! derdine. In transcribing to the burgess list ■ the properties were entered 11 Kenderdine, i T. 8., exors. of," for various properties of a ratable value of £317. The estate was therefore disfranchised, although entitled to four votes. Mr. Edson's name very pro perly appeared this year. Mr. Kenderdine had mis-stated. the position, which was that the estate was last year disfranchised, and bail been this year duly enfranchised. He was quite of opinion that Mr. John Kenderdine had been misled, and had written under a misapprehension. The Mayo, pointed . out that Mr. Edson's name was down ' on the South Ward roll, not as the executor, but as owner, and on his motion the matter was referred to the Legal Committee. The Mayor then moved, "That a revision oourt be called, in accordance with the Aot : now before the Legislature, re revision and corrections. of burgees rolls," and this was ' agreed to,' :
