BAY OF ISLANDS.

Our Towai correspondent writes; Mr. N. A. McLeod addressed the electors of this district on August 14. Mr. H. Collins, of Piaka, oecmv'd the chair. There were about 20 electors present. Mr. McLeod is a fluent speaker, and addressed the meeting on similar lines as he had done in Ivawakawa. He received a unanimous vote of thanks for his address, and after a similar vote was passed to the chairman the meeting closed. [from ora own correspondent.] Awanui, Wednesday. Mr. N. A. McLeod addressed tho electors in Mr. Subritzky's Hall, Awanui, last night. There was a good attendance. He dealt at length with the gum question, and received a vote of thanks. Mr. Williamson presided.

DUNEDIN LABOUR CANDIDATES.

[Br telegraph.— ASSOCIATION. Dunedin, Wednesday. The Workers' Political Committee met tonight to select finally two candidates for the city. Mr. J. A. Millar, M.H.R., and Mr. J. F. Arnold, having secured the largest number of votes, it was unanimously decided to accept these two gentlemen as the Labour candidates for the city. Mr. A. Morrison was selected for Caversham. The Liberal and Labour League will select the third candidate for the city.
